SW85. Red, 70% opaque. As with older vintages, heat and lemon. Also plum-like sweetness.

dark red to redish colour, sligthly bitterness taste in the mouth, nicely balance, plum fruit, good finish. This port is ready to be drunk now. Good port!

90% opaque; mid red in colour, looking mature. Modest on the nose, with fresh cut grass and red cherry. Modest entry, full of sharp fruit and with a good dose of acidity and very soft tannins. The fruit grows to fill the palate, showing some late sweetness. Cedar-wood aftertaste, with dry cheeks on a sweet finish that has good length. 86/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
