Mid red, mid maturity in colour. Perfumed nose with lovely lavender, really delicate and attractive. Lovely texture, mid weight palate presence. Lovely soft charcoal tannins support lots of sweet raspberry fruit. Delightful palate. Wonderful aftertaste and a very full finish of good length, and very sweet at the end. 88/100. 7 hour decant.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Light, but lovely colour changing from ruby to garnet. Slightly dusty / leathery on the nose, but also hints of some very nice red fruit. On the palate some dark plum, cherry and strawberry. Hints of coffee and refined tannin. Not overly complex, but a lovely elegant port that's drinking extremely well.

S70. Pink-red, 30% opaque. Nose had some red fruit, and a hint of VA. Taste noted only as ‟cherry then strawberry”.
