Deep red and opaque. Fabulous nose, with huge volumes of fruit. Silky in texture, with delicious fruit and firm tannins. The fruit is huge and assertive, with a massive presence. Fabulous finish, long and fruit dominated. Really quite impressive. 89/100. 10-Jun-12. Decanted 1 hour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
