1977 Morgan Brothers vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Russet red colour, 50% opaque. Nosing of soft toffee and caramel. Tobacco and red licorice impact, soft and gently spicy on the medium-bodied palate. Lingering taste of creamy hazelnuts and bitter coffee. Pleasant drinking port, but starting to tire. 83/100. Drunk 11-Nov-12 after decanting 30 hours
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
