TV65: red-pink, 30% opaque. Taste hot, early and mid-palate. But also soft red fruit.

Clear rim, see through burgundy and light ruby core. Lovely fruit-forward nose with raisins and dark orange marmelade. Palate is hit with dried fruit and warm alcohol in great balance. Gorgeous wine. 92 pts.

Russet-orange colour; 25% opaque. A touch of menthol on the nose, otherwise showing little. Delicious texture, lovely and flavoursome palate presence. A wonderful mid-palate which is complex and delicious, if a little burly. Some heat on the aftertaste before a rich and enjoyable finish where the tannins just manage to show through the sweet and concentrated flavours. 87/100. 22-Mar-13. Decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
