It seemed like a good night to open this and my immediate reaction is similar to the only previous tasting note from 2 years ago. Good clean decant, with sludgy sediment now trickling slowly through a coffee paper. Almost strawberry-brown in colour and 'fragrant' on the nose.
Some initial heat, not lots of fruit but enough to keep this interesting. Probably not going to get any better with age, but a very enjoyable port for now. And much better than my memory of the regular 1970 Royal Oporto.
I don't normally get round to posting pictures, but this is quite an unusual bottle, so hopefully this has worked
