2002 Heidsieck Monopole Gold Top Champagne

A wonderful deep golden colour. Surprisingly closed on the nose but rich and powerful on the palate with great palate presence and depth - a delicious combination of fruit and brioche. Fine aftertaste and a decent length finish. A very respectable vintage Champagne, not up to the standard of a prestige cuvée but I'm very happy to have a couple more on hand. 88/100
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
