NV Niepoort VV (Bottled 2012)

Bottled 2012. Chestnut brown, with a hint of green on the rim; 60% opaque. A huge dose of salty VA on the nose, smelling like a very old tawny! Restrained entry, modest texture with gentle acidity supporting rich honey and lime. A pleasant slight bitterness on the finish and a massive length. 93/100. 20-Feb-13 at the New Douro Tasting.
