1958 Warre vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Burnt ochre in colour; 30% opaque. Delightful and inviting nose; lots of rose hip syrup, really well developed. Sweet entry, with well evolved fruit, full of raisins and dried figs but with the perfect acidity to give a great elegance. Great florality, tremendous length, full and rich. 93/100. Drunk 18-Jan-13.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
