1977 Niepoort vintage port

Reddish-brown in colour, 20% opaque. Hollow nose but sweet fruit on the palate, with good balance and ripe tannins. Nice fruit development on the palate and licorice root all over the finish. Delicious, but not as good as the 1970 shown alongside. 91/100. Tasted at the BFT on 24 April 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
