2007 Cockburn LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Dark red in colour; 75% opaque. Showing a little delicate raspberry on the nose. The soft raspberries show on the palate with pleasant gentle tannins prividing some structure. Air on the palate releases more of the raspberries. The aftertaste is soft, gentle and persistent. A lovely, elegant and lingering port. 86/100. Drunk 24 April 2013 at the 2007 LBV post BFT offline.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
