They think the Nacional will be £300 a bottle:

I haven’t yet tasted the Noval, but Dow was my favourite non-special-cuvée. Yet:

I agree with you about the Dow. I don't recall tasting the Croft. Smith Woodhouse is completely beyond the bounds of acceptability it seems.

You imply that they will be drinking a lot of Noval in Arnos Grove... And quite a bit of Warre in Notting Hill. These seem equally believable.

Interesting as my score right now on the Dow's would be in line with theirs. I wasn't too impressed at this young stage. But time will tell if its just a youthful awkward stage (as i suspect) or not.

I am told that they are different blends from different vineyards. Interestingly Barao de Vilar have recently bought the Feuerheerd name and might be releasing a 4th blend under that name in future years.

I am told that there was a limited amount of Quarles Harris 2011 made to order for a specific customer in the US. This is not going to be offered as a general release.

Confirmed as not declared:
Heredias (only made the Senhora do Convento label)
Quinta Nova do Nossa Senhora do Carmo

Comparing the list of 2011 vintage ports tasted at the IVDP's presentation in Oporto a couple of weeks ago to the list published on the first post of this thread, I note that the following producers presented their wines but do not appear on our list of declarations (yet).

Douro Boys Vintage Port 2011
The brilliant 2011 vintage has produced magnificent port wines; it is even quite possibly one of the greatest vintages ever.
The Douro Boys have chosen the most promising port cask of this vintage from each quinta, and from these created a vintage port that harkens back to the great wines of the 1970s: a vintage port that's already impressive, but which will most likely achieve its true greatness only after twenty or thirty years have passed. With this, the Douro Boys are making a clean break with fashion, which recently has dictated that vintage port must also be pleasant and drinkable when young. The Douro Boys Vintage Port 2011 is most definitely targeted to the next and following generations of wine-lovers and for wine merchants, restaurateurs and parents who are not thinking only about the near-term.
Douro Boys Vintage Port 2011 will be bottled in two hundred and fifty magnums, and will be offered exclusively in the course of the auction on 13 September 2013

QH is not a brand that makes it into NY.

I've called the distributor about this and they just dont move any so they stopped bringing it in.

They might have changed their minds about the 2011 vintage, but i havne't seen it offered.

Here is part of a larger post I made regarding this Port on

I suspect this is exclusive to Trader Joe's and won't be released to other merchants. Sort of a "BOB" but without the TJ's name on it.

.....A check on Wine-Searcher does not show anyone else carrying this. Trader Joe's buys a huge volume of Symington Ports (mostly Quarles Harris, Morgado, and Warre's Warrior, and now a Douro wine). They also have had the 1994 Quarles Harris VP recently. I suspect, this is a VP that only Trader Joe's will get as there was no fan fare about it's release and the only store who seems to have it is them.

New Yorkers: a 2011 Horizontal is being planned, the date being a few years away. We will need QH11. There will be no other means of obtaining it. Please do the correct thing, × 24.

I've just noticed that Quinta do Sagrado 2011 is missing from the list of declarations. They filled 2,700 bottles.
