2011 Quinta do Portal

Massively over-ripe fruit on the nose, almost blue cheese-like in its intensity. The fruit on the palate is rich, sweet and lush. Some pear and bananna with powerful tannins. Sweet fruit on the aftertaste and a great length finish of dark chocolate. 90-92. Tasted over 1-4 days as part of the extended 2011 tasting.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
