2011 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep purple with a fruity nose that is pronounced and profound. Hollow entry, but with fruit that blossoms nicely on the late palate. Charcoal tannins and soft acidity gives good structure. Powerful tannins dominate the persistent finish. 91-93. Snapshot tasting on 24 April 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
