2008 Noval Cedro
Meaty on the nose with gentle and elegant fruit on the palate that has a pleasant intensity. A touch of menthol and Bertie Bassett Licorice Allsorts on the finish. Pleasant, but feeling rather lightweight coming after a handful of ports. I preferred this to the 2009 shown alongside. 87/100. Drunk 16 September 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
