2011 Ramos Pinto

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Subdued nose of lavender and violet cremes. Plenty of acidity and tannins which show on day 2, all backed up by good levels of sweet and sugary fruit. Puckering acidity and tannins on the long aftertaste. Rather too dominated by the acidity for my taste but this could promise a long life. 90-92.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
