I am posting this TN because with the drinking of this charming St. Emilion my cellar has become dangerously depleted of red wine. Writing this helps me remember.
On the eye very dark, about 75% with a wonderful core and a wide clear rim. On the nose this is hot (redolent of summer warmth), with powerful, jammy blackcurrants. About an hour after opening, the mouth was dry and tight on the tongue, with quiet black fruit, and fresh, light acids. The tannins were taut but juicy, with the finish bringing tobacco, over a medium length (>10s), and currants also. In the decanter this changed noticeably during the evening and the acids became more aggressive, with the soft fruit tumbling away somewhat.
Another one please garçon.. What? The last one?
