Hey guys!
Does anyone on this board belong to the opimiam wine society and know which port they are offering from this year? The name is Quinta Da Gricha Vintage Port 2011. Churchill's or something I believe.
Thanks!

I've never heard of the Opimiam Wine Society so please say a few words about it.
Churchill do own Quinta da Gricha so your information could be correct.

It's a wine club in Canada. Since 1973.

Yes, I am located in Canada and am a member. It secures large shipments of wine from all over the world and imports them on behalf of the members. Their current offering includes this port and I'm having fun collecting from this vintage.
The 2011 Quinta da Gricha has zero mentions anywhere on the web. I was hoping that someone here might have had an in at Churchill's and knew something about this port. I have only found one tasting note for the 2009 on this site, and I don't know much about the quinta in general.
So I am looking for any feedback that you guys have on the house, the quinta, and hopefully maybe something about this particular port. The price is $76 CAN/bottle.

Re: Opimian 2011 vintage port
I haven't seen any reference to there being a Quinta da Gricha 2011 but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Some shippers produce their classic blends from a single quinta but do not mention the quinta name on the bottle. Croft being the most prominent example as many of their recent vintage ports have been 100% from Qunita do Roeda. It is possible that Churchill have done a similar thing here so the standard Churchill 2011 might be the same wine as those that have been labelled Quinta da Gricha for this special sale to your wine club.
