I must find a different port to write about, but then the only other ones were singletons or not 'to hand' ( lovely expression AHB, reminding me of one of Dickens' characters being raised 'by hand').
The cork reduced itself to fragments, but looked sound.
The colour seems more definitely pinkish and the taste is simple and sweet. But then I have just opened it and there is a delicious long tail to it which bodes well for later...

It's got a bit darker, the sweetness has retreated behind a great wave of tannin. Still don't smell of much.
