1982 Sandeman

Medium red colour, a mature tone; 30% opaque. Generous acidic fruit on the attractive nose. Lovely texture on entry with plenty of fruit, a balancing acidity and soft tannins - a nice palate. Chewy aftertaste with lovely fruit and a great fruit-driven aftertaste. Fine port. 88/100. Drunk 23-Apr-14.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
