2008 Ferreira LBV

Bottled 2012. Deep and youthful red, 90% opaque. Showing little on the nose, alcohol and then some fruit. Lovely textured fruit, smooth and mouthfilling. Big tannins grip and give a firm structure, dominating through to the aftertaste before purple fruit and dark chocolate takes over for the long finish. Very good LBV. 89/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
