NV Niepoort Crusted 2011

Bottled 2011. Deep red and opaque, looking rather young. Showing little on the nose but on the palate there is perfumed fruit, lavender and clover honey. Luscious fruit but also stunning tannins. This is a really nice port that manages to combine powerful tannins with rich, soft fruit into an elegant package. 92/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
