1998 Fonseca Guimaraens Panascal
Mature red in appearance; 70% opaque. Syrupy stewed fruit on the nose. Simple on entry, with gentle tannins and restrained fruit that improves and develops but not giving an impression of being well balanced; comes with a dry edge to the palate. Big on the finish. The overall impression is of an unbalanced port that has cellar potential. 86/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
