2007 Rozes Terras do GriFo

From Rozes. Solid red colour, with an opaque centre and a medium transparent rim. Subdued nose of winegums and aniseed, lots of fruit. Silky in texture with lovely sweet fruit that has a pleasant acidic / bitter core. The tannins are still hidden in the rich, sweet fruit. Soft finish where the tannins do show and provide great length. 88/100. Drunk 24-Apr-14 at BFT5.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
