2011 Allesverloren Touriga Nacional, South Africa
Dull wood on the nose, but with some fruit. Surprisingly vibrant on the palate, with fresh fruit and a good balance; soft tannins and ideal acidity levels. Lovely elegance to the wine. Very enjoyable in an elegant style. 87/100. Drunk 14-Apr-14. Pop 'n' Pour.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
