1994 Vina Tondonia Tinto Gran Reserva, Rioja
From Bodegas Lopez de Heredia. More mature nose, lovely cigar ash and cedar wood that is really pronounced and attractive. Thin watery texture, fruit slow to show but follows on the heels of the dry tannins. The combination of fruit and tannins is very fine and shows the minerality that is in the younger wines; medium bodied. Dry teeth and blood orange acidity dominate the long finish. Really lovely. 89/100. Drunk 06-May-14.
