Bottled by John Harvey & Sons of Bristol. Deep red with rich, brick tones. Gentle Christmas cake with rich, candied cherry - very lovely. Soft and silky texture with gorgeous flavours of rich cherry, flavoursome spices and a slow build up to a massive palate presence and perfect balance. Long and wonderful finish. A superb bottle of a very fine port. 96/100. Drunk 24-Jun-14. Decanted 7½ hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
