1908 Guedes Colheita (bottled 1982)

Bottled 1982. Deep amber colour, 30% opaque. Powerful colheita nose that is attractive and delicious. There is a slight pepperiness to the flavours when the thick textured wine first hits the palate. Lots of honey and lemon to this intense and powerful port. A huge palate with a really surprising concentration. Massive sticky finish of amazing. 93/100. Drunk 24-Jun-14. Pop 'n' pour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
