1964 Niepoort Colheita

Bottling date not noted. Golden red, firm colour, 30% opaque. Gentle marzipan nose and violet infused VA. Sweet in the palate, soft and gentle sweet dried fruit with lots of dried apricots. Very sweet. This has a great finish but even the finish is still very sweet and lacks a little in acidity for balance. 84/100. 24-Jun-14. Decanted ½ hour
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
