2002 Bollinger, La Grande Anee

Post by LGTrotter »

Excellent. Not a trace of the tweedy vintage Bolly I've had in the past. A good dense palate without a suggestion of stolidity about it. A touch of green smoke on the finish. Lovely mousse, decidedly straw colour but very pale and bright. This is lovely, as are all the 2002s I have tried, with enough spine and nerves to make me think it will last.

The score;
Among the maxims on Lord Naoshige's wall, there was this one:
"Matters of great concern should be treated lightly."
Master Ittei commented,
"Matters of small concern should be treated seriously" Hagakure.
