2012 August Eser Rauenthal Rothenberg Riesling Spätlese trocken "Steillage"
August Eser is a VDP-producer from the Rheingau. They're not in the top league, but make fairly consistent wines such as this single-vinyard dry late-harvest Riesling.
pale-yellow, smells of peach, melon and of minerality, quite a full body, tastes of peach and minerality, dry, but not in a tart way, peach in the aftertaste, finish of sufficient lenghth (15 seconds). Quite a good Riesling that will reward more time in the bottle.
