2005 Luis Pata Vinhos Barrosa
Made principally from Baga from Barraida. Deep red centre showing a nice balance of youth and maturity. A wonderful nose of mature fruit, attractive yet still restrained. Nice and balanced on the palate with plenty of sweet fruit but powerful and ripe tannins. Big and impressive. Not scored (I forgot). Drunk 04-Sep-14. Decanted 1 hour.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
