The grapes for this red wine were sourced from the Douro Superior (hence the name). According to the Crasto website, the juice was kept in barriques for 12 months and then bottled in April 2013.
D+0h: smells of sour cherry, no deposit, D+7,5h: dark as ink, smells of eucalyptus and anise, smooth in the mouth, not completely dry, but not overly sweet, the 14,5 % alcohol are well integrated, full body, in the mouth there is sour cherry, quite a long finish (30 seconds), in the aftertaste there is sour cherry again. A good Douro wine, which could be drier for my taste.
