2001 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Firm red, just starting to show bricking; opaque at the centre. A nice nose starting to show some caramel complexity with the fruit. A lovely smooth texture on entry that is very silky. Gentle structure and beautifully poised fruit. Still very primary but easy to drink. Rather restrained on the aftertaste but a long burnt sugar and rhubarb finish. Surprisingly good. 91/100. 24-Feb-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
