1989 Calem Colheita (bottled 2015)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2015. Red/orange colour, 60% opaque. Baked peaches and custard on the nose. Lively and acidic on the palate with lots of orange and zest but also an unpleasant hint of plastic I have found in the past in cheap French supermarket BoB ports. The aftertaste is pleasant though. 86/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
