2012 Duorum Vinha de Castelo Melhor

Black and opaque appearance. Limited nose, a bit grassy and hints of warm cherries. Smooth in texture, like warm satin and with lovely, ripe black cherry and damson fruit before massive and unending tannins seize the mouth. Big and lively on the finish. This is extremely powerful and impressive. 94-96/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
