NV Messias Ruby Special Reserve

The Messias Special Reserve is blended tawny port. A mature amber-orange in colour, 30% opaque. Nosing of gentle nuts and quince paste this has a smooth texture on the palate and a nice acidic structure that balances a gentle honey sweetness and gives a citrus core. Tasty and lingering, there is a nice twist of clover honey on the finish. 85/100. Tasted 05-Mar-15.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
