1965 Graham Malvedos
Copper red colour, very pale; 10% opaque. Wonderful on the nose, full of rich spices and sweet cranberries - really very attractive. Gentle golden sultana fruit on the palate, very mature flavour profile but with plenty of dried fruits and delicious complex spices. Fragrant aftertaste with just touch of spirit before a nutty and delicious long finish that turns into icing sugar flavours. Drinking very nicely, but probably on a slow decline. 89/100. 06-May-15.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
