NV Presidente Tawny 10YO

do Presidente 10 yo tawny NV from Alpalina. Deep orange colour, 30% opaque. A lovely nose of colheita style oxidative aging - balanced and attractive. Sweet smooth entry with a nice thick texture. Lovely burnt sugar and toasted brioche palate. A delicious mid-palate that is light and floral with good sweetness, good poise and good balance. Lovely finish. A very impressive 10 year old tawny assembled from wines purchased from local port makers based around Vila Real. 88/100. May 2015.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
