Feuerheerd is sold in the UK through Direct Wines. Served chilled, showing little on the nose. Roses and pine-wood on the entry, fragrant; gently tannic and with soft acidity giving a balanced and elegant palate. Fragrant pine and soft sweet fruit on the finish. Soft and elegant port. 85/100. May 2015.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
