NV Sandeman Founders Reserve

Lovely mid red colour, youthful but not exuberant. Gentle nose of raspberries and crushed dock leaves. Smooth entry, lightly fruity with a nice perfume to the sweet summer berries. The tannins come through on the mid-palate, firm but not overwhelming. Sweet fruit aftertaste with a slightly green edge to the finish, which is of good length. 87/100. May 2015.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
