NV Sandeman White (Aptiv)

Golden straw in colour with a hint of orange. Gentle on the nose, showing very little. Sweet on the palate, floral but with a quince bitterness at the core. This develops on the palate and has some nice layering. The bitter-sweet sensation runs through to the very long finish. This is rather an odd combination. 83/100. May 2015.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
