1965 Taylor Colheita (bottled 2015)

Bottled 2015. Olive brown in colour, 20% opaque. Pungent nose, full of colheita tones; really powerful. An immediate impact on the palate, rich and full of toffee but with a terrific punch of acidity. Massive on the palate with kumquat and cape gooseberry fruit, a great concentration. Cheek drying on the aftertaste and a huge finish. A terrific wine. 95/100. May 2015.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
