NV Quinta da Pedra Alta Tawny

The colour of rusty iron, 30% opaque. Nose of toffee; sweet on the palate but with little complexity. Modest but enjoyable aftertaste. I was told that this wine had an average age of around 3 years. It was perfectly acceptable but there are many better tawnies.

Pedra Alta is located on the south side of the river opposite Pinhao. Within the quinta boundary there is one of the original feitora. 81/100. June 2015.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
