No note taken, but I recall enjoying this port.

Bottled 2014. Purple and opaque. An amazing nose, full of blackcurrant fruit with a twist of lemon sourness; absolutely lovely. More restrained on the palate with some soft, chalky tannins providing some grip. The blackcurrant fruit arrives on the mid-palate and comes with some lovely floral elements. Dark chocolate and sour blackcurrant on the aftertaste. Great blackcurrant and vanilla chocolate finish. This is a lovely LBV with the stuffing to keep a few years. Really nice. 89/100.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
