From Sandeman. Deep scarlet and opaque. A wonderful floral nose full of crushed heather and blackcurrant. Fruit led entry, rich but balanced. Great blackcurrant fruit with good tannins and powerful acidity. Great mouthfeel. Delicious black chocolate and blackcurrant aftertaste and a very long finish. Nice restraint to the fruit on the palate. This is lovely current drinking. 92/100. Tasted 10-Nov-15. Decanting time N/K. Presented at the Sandeman 225 anniversary celebration at the Don.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
