1987 Offley Boa Vista
Bottled 1990. Deep red, no bricking but no purple; opaque. Baked fruit on the nose, gentle and subdued. Baked fruit dominated the palate; gentle tannins still show through the baked fruit. The aftertaste emphasises the baked nature of the fruit. Drinkable port, but not an experience I would choose to repeat - there's just too much other good port. 82/100. Drunk 22-Nov-15. Decant time N/K.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
