2004 Croft LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 2009. Dark red in colour, opaque. Nosing of sweet blackcurrants and red cherries. Deeply fruit on the palate, powerful but acidic blackcurrants and gentle tannins. The acidity is harsh on the aftertaste and warming at the start of the finish. Sweet blackcurrants on the sticky finish. 86/100. 03-Jan-16. Decanted 4 hours.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
