2004 Croft LBV

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Another of the Tesco half bottles sold by the cartload in 2010. Bottled 2009. Dark red in colour, opaque. Faint nose, fruity and slight green wood. Powerful on the palate, full of fruit and surprisingly tannic. Strong dose of acidity on the aftertaste and a long finish. Surprisingly powerful. 85/100. Opened 14-Feb-16. Decanted 2 days.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: Quinta das Carvalhas 80YO Tawny
