2004 Graham Malvedos
Medium rim, youthful in colour but without any purple. Smooth entry with gentle and sweet fruit, very refined and pure with hints of flowers. Powerful tannins show on the late palate to give a wonderful presence. An alcohol tingle leads the aftertaste before a very long and very big finish of dark chocolate and dried raspberries. Very impressive - drinkable now or over the next 20 years. 91/100. 24-Feb-16.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
